Since this an Organization Validated (OV) certificate, your company will have to complete a light vetting process before it gets issued. However, this process doesn’t take long to complete, usually only between 2-3 business days. The validation process ensures that many visual trust indicators are activated on your site, including “https”, the padlock icon, and the dynamic Comodo site seal.

The Comodo InstantSSL certificate offers basic 128-bit encryption, but can also be issued with the higher 256-bit encryption. This certificate is also signed with a strong 2048-bit root. It also comes with one free year of PCI scanning and one free year of daily website vulnerability scanning.

There is no multi-domain support on the Comodo InstantSSL certificate. It is only for one domain.
  • Full business validated certificate
  • Most trusted 2048-bit SSL Certificate
  • Trusted by all major Browsers
  • 99.3% Browser Ubiquity
  • Unlimited Re-Issuance Policy
  • FREE Corner-of-Trust trustmark
  • $250,000 Relying Party Warranty
  • Up to 256-bit encryption

This certificate includes the basic Comodo Secure Site Seal, which will let your web visitors know that your site and company has been fully validated by a reputable, third-party security leader. Also, since this is an Organization Validated (OV) certificate, the Comodo Secure Seal is dynamic and features “point-to-verify” technology which that displays your authenticated business credentials when a user hovers the mouse over it.
The Comodo InstantSSL certificate is backed by an industry standard $250,000 warranty. This warranty means that in the unlikely event that your site is hacked and a customer of yours incurs losses because of it, Comodo will compensate you up to $250,000.
